About MBPA
Matatau - MBPA Maori Business & Professional Association is an initiative of MWDI Maori Women's Development Inc and was launched in 2006.
The business rationale behind MBPA is to encourage the development of distinctive Maori business products, processes and services that arise from Maori knowledge, resources and people.
MBPA provides a platform for Maori in business, Maori non-profit organisations and Maori professionals in rural, regional and overseas locations to gain access to information and knowledge that will aid business growth. This includes supporting a network of strategic alliances with commercial partners and consumers both Maori and non Maori.
MBPA is a non-profit association that comes under the governance of the Maori Women's Development Inc.
Vision
To be an internationally recognised and respected representative and proponent of Maori in business, Maori non-profit organisations and Maori professionals to enable them to flourish in today's global economy.
Purpose
To assist and encourage business and professional development by educating, sharing information, providing support and advice and doing business.
Location
MBPA is located in the eight regional boundaries of MWDI, namely Taitokerau, Tamaki Makaurau, Tainui, Waiariki, Tairawhiti, Aotea, Ikaroa and Te Waipounamu, with facilitators based in each of our regions.
